KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 -- Invest Energy Group, an infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) energy solutions developer, plans to expand its services to Southeast Asian (SEA) countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand and Cambodia.
Founder and group managing director, Anand Ramakrishnan said the renewable energy (RE) sector in the abovementioned countries poses positive growth potential, adding that the company has linked with local strategic partners which helps to mitigate certain risks.
"Our technology partners have been developing these markets for some time, which helps to lower our entry cost.
“These markets have also proven to be stable in terms of policy and regulatory aspects," he told Bernama in an interview recently.
Invest Energy's expansion plan also includes increasing its presence in Malaysia, said Anand.
Recently, the company had announced its plan to invest about RM2.2 billion over the next five to seven years in partnership with a global European Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) fund.
