About Client

Petchthara Co., Ltd. (PTR) is one of the largest tapioca starch manufacturers under the Roi Et Group with over three decades of experiences in the tapioca manufacturing industry in Thailand.

Biogas and Electricity

NBL uses wastewater and wetcake to produce biogas, which is further refined and compressed for commercial use. This plant has three types of biogas sales. The first type is used by our power station to generate electricity, which is then sold to the offtakers. The second type involves supplying the processed biogas to the boilers in the starch factory (PTR). Lastly, the third type is the processed biogas used in the gas pumping station for commercial vehicles.

Business Concern

Biogas is a clean energy source as it uses wastewater and waste wet cake to generate biogas (a natural source of fuel) for generators, burners (such as those used for cooking or heating), and commercial vehicles. The process waste from the biogas reactors is sent to a lagoon where further processing is done to remove the sludge (cassava peel). This sludge can be used for agriculture and livestock feed.
