The Invest Energy team has been carefully curated team to bring together a unique combination of extensive strategic, operational, financial and technical experience in private equity, investment banking, engineering, regulatory, management consulting and direct operational experience.

Anand Ramakrishnan

Group Managing Director & CEO

Anand is the Group Managing Director & CEO and a member of Invest Energy’s Board of Directors. He is also a member of the company’s Management and Investment Committees as well as director of core investment companies within the group. Anand has been involved and instrumental in developing Invest Energy’s asset base since inception creating rewarding partnerships with investors and industry partners since 2010.

Prior to Invest Energy, Anand started his career at AirAsia Berhad in the CEO’s Office and also worked at Symond, Travers & Morgan London. He then moved to Konpro Group, a leading engineering management company managing complex energy infrastructure projects.

Anand graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool and Master of Science in Transport and Business Management from Imperial College, London, UK.

He is a Registered Electrical Energy Manager with the Energy Commission, Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, UK and a mentor for Watch Tower & Friends, a tech accelerator that develops start-ups in Southeast Asia.

Jasveen Pasricha Singh

Chief Finance Officer Head, Commercial

Jasveen is Invest Energy’s Chief Financial Officer & Head of Commercial and a member of the company’s Management and Risk Committees as well as director of core portfolio companies.

Jasveen has management responsibility over the company’s overall finance, treasury, risk and corporate development functions. Since joining Invest Energy in 2004, Jasveen has served in a broad range of leadership roles where he led numerous Invest Energy investments and divestments.

Prior to joining Invest Energy, he worked with HNW family offices as a financial controller and external auditors among others in Southeast Asia.  He started his career with Christian Douglass Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom.

He is an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) where he completed his training and apprenticeship in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Gopala Krishnan

Executive Director Head, Group Strategy & Policy

Gopala is an Executive Director and Head of Group Strategy & Policy for Invest Energy where he oversees the overall risk associated to the company and its portfolio companies including policy related matters. He is a member of the company’s Management and Risk Committees.

Before joining Invest Energy in 2017, Gopala was a career banker who retired as Group Chief Executive Officer of the erstwhile EON Bank in 2008. He has vast experience in Banking related to Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and Capital Markets. Gopala currently also sits on the board of Aiqon Capital Group and several private companies.

He is an associate of the Institute of Bankers, London and has completed The Advance Management Program from Asian Institute of Management, Manila.

Y. Kah Wai

Investment Director, Energy Infrastructure

Kah Wai is the Investment Director of Energy Infrastructure for Invest Energy where she oversees all energy infrastructure transition initiatives focusing on energy efficiency across Southeast Asia including regulatory relationships.

Prior to joining Invest Energy in 2022, Kah Wai was involved mainly technology transfer projects for various governments in Southeast Asia over the last 3 decades in various industries from mining to renewable energy representing leading global international companies such as China Energy Engineering Corporation Group, JCNS Group and various energy companies.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom where she completed her training in international business.

AZIZI BIN MEOR NGAH

Chairman & Executive Director

Azizi is the Chairman and Executive Director and a member of Invest Energy’s Board of Directors. He is also a director of core investment companies within the group. He joined Invest Energy Group in 2011 as Chairman and took on an additional role as Executive Director in 2019 working in areas of corporate governance, public advocacy, government relations and strategy.

He has over 41 years’ experience in media, agriculture, logistics and supply chain management, strategy, and corporate planning as CEO & Chairman for various multinational and private companies, government agencies and institutions. He was the first CEO of Malaysian Palm Oil Association and Malaysian Agrifood Corporation Berhad (MAFC). He has also acted as a consultant for the World Bank and was appointed by the Government to head the Agriculture Lab to produce a 10-year blueprint in the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) for Malaysia.

Azizi holds a Master of Business Administration from Henley Management College, UK and has attended various executive development programmes in agriculture and business from the Mananga Agriculture Management Centre, Swaziland, University of Chicago, University of Stanford, and Harvard Business School, United States.

Jasvinder Singh

Investment Director, Growth Opportunities & Advisory 

Jasvinder is the Investment Manager of Growth Opportunities for Invest Energy where he oversees all new development opportunities and growth sectors as well as business partnerships across Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining Invest Energy in 2022, Jasvinder was the co-founder & director of various companies namely in technology and trading. He began his career with RHB Bank Berhad in the retail banking division where he worked on product development, project management and finance.  

Jasvinder graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Banking and Finance from the University of Canberra, Australia.

Ir. Nirinder Singh Johl

Senior Advisor

Ir. Nirinder is a Senior Advisor for Invest Energy providing strategic advice on investments, technical complexities, and regulatory and policy issues.

Ir. Nirinder served Malaysia’s national utility company, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in multitude portfolios for more than 36 years in transmission, Generation, Strategic Corporate Communications, International Business including senior management roles. He retired in 2022 as the Managing Director of TNBX Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TNB formed in 2019 to venture into the non- regulated business. He is presently the Founder/CEO of AsiaCarbonXChange Plt., an organization involved in the consultancy and management of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).

Ir. Nirinder is a professional electrical engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical from University Technology Malaysia (UTM) and a Master’s in Business Management (MBA) from the University of Bath.

Manoj Ganesasingam

Head, Portfolio Management and Operations

Manoj is the Head, Portfolio Management & Operations where he oversees the overall project management, operations, and operating processes for our portfolio assets across South East Asia including assessment of potential investments to promote effective governance and create long-term value for our investee’s companies and assets. He is a member of the company’s Management Committee.

Before joining Invest Energy in 2023, Manoj spent more than a decade in the power industry involved in operations and maintenance, sales, marketing of Solar Turbines and construction of Solar Turbines Integrated Service Centre including all aspects of developing power projects from initial stages with multinational companies. He started his career in the oil and gas industry with Deleum Berhad which is involved in sales and support services.

Manoj graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University.

Ir. Daniel Lim

Head, Clean Energy + Transition & Renewable Power

Daniel is an Executive Director and Head of Clean Energy + Transition & Renewable Power for Invest Energy where he oversees utility power, transition development, strategic initiatives and project execution. He is a member of the company’s Management Committee.

Before joining Invest Energy in 2011, he was the founder and principal of AD Consultants, a prominent Mechanical and Electrical Consultant firm. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Metronic Global Berhad, a Main Board listed Engineering Company in Malaysia.

Ir. Daniel Lim is a Professional Engineer (PEPC) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and a Registered Energy Manager with Energy Commission. He graduated from University of Manchester Institute for Science and Technology (UMIST) with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical (Honours).

Jacquerin Loh Ling

Manager, ESG & Sustainability

Jacquerin is the Manager of ESG & Sustainability where she oversees the overall sustainability and ESG guidelines for our portfolio assets across South East Asia including asessments prior to investments to promote effective governance and create long-term value for our investee companies and assets.

Before joining Invest Energy in 2023, Jacquerin focused on environmental health & safety establishing EHS management systems as well as researching and executing sustainability initiatives. Prior to that, she started her career at Gadang Works as a process engineer for educational training equipment and then moved on to provide consultancy, audits and training to organizations in relation to the ISO 9001 management system.

Jacquerin graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Master of Environmental Management Technology from Universiti Malaya (UM).

KEITH VAZ

Chief Investment Officer

Keith is the Chief Investment Officer and a member of Invest Energy’s Management Committee. He is also a member of Invest Energy Asset Management Board of Directors and Investment Committee. He is responsible for identifying and recommending new deals as well as leading the investment and divestment recommendations.

Prior to joining Invest Energy in 2021, he was CEO and Director of various companies from manufacturing to oil & gas, utilities, and steel. He began his career in the Assurance and Business Advisory Group with PWC in Kuala Lumpur, Dublin, London and New York working on private and public market fund raising, corporate restructuring and private equity investments with leading funds and investment banks.

Keith holds a BSc (Honours) in Accounting from the Queens University of Belfast, an MBA from the Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), US.
